Coyote is one of our favorite tomatoes for taste. Super sweet little golden currant tomatoes pack a punch! Incredibly delicious sweet and citrus flavor, perfect for topping salads and packing in your lunch. We could not resist grabbing them in handfulls off the vine and stuffing our mouths full! Short season and a prolific producer. Keeps giving and giving until frost! Vining habit, enjoys support from trellising or tomato cage.
Planting Instructions: Start Coyote tomato seeds indoors under grow lights or in a greenhouse 6-10 weeks before last frost. Transplant 2+ weeks after last frost when soil has warmed a bit. Space plants at least 4 feet apart. Support growth with tomato cages, a trellis or wire. Water regularly but avoid overwatering (soil should be moist but not wet).
Seed Saving Instructions: When fully ripe, pick your tastiest fruits from the most vigorous plants. Cut open and squeeze seeds and juice into a jar. Secure a cloth over the jar so air can enter. Ferment the juice and seeds in the jar for 2-3 days. Then strain and rinse the seeds. Dry on a screen or cloth. Store seeds in a paper or mesh bag in a cool, dark and dry location.
