Hardy, reliable & prolific slicing and pickling cucumber. Crisp and refreshing eaten straight off the vine or added to salads, hydrating cucumber water, and hors d'oeuvres. Our pickles turned out crisp & delicious! A Southwest adapted heirloom.

Planting Instructions: Start indoors 3 weeks before last spring frost and transplant after all danger of frost has passed and soil has warmed a bit. Or simply direct seed 1/2" deep in well-draining soil and keep seeds moist until germinated.

Seed Saving Instructions: Allow cucumbers to grow large and yellow, well after normal harvest time. Harvest before first autumn frost. Cut open and scoop seeds out with surrounding gel. Ferment in a jar with cloth secured over top for a day. Strain and dry seeds. Store seeds in a paper or mesh bag in a cool, dark and dry location.
