Calendula officinalis
Days to Maturity: 60-70
Calendula is a beautiful medicinal flower ideal for salves, oil and tinctures. It soothes and heals wounds, cuts & scrapes. This calendula is a mixture of yellow and orange single blossoms and some double blossoms on short 6-12" tall plants. Super abundant blooms are easy to pick and will produce more blooms after picking. Sow directly in the ground in late spring/early summer or start indoors before last frost to get a head start.
Planting Instructions: Plant Calendula seeds 1/2" deep, 3-6" apart in spring. May be planted in early spring when light frost is still possible. Keep moist until germinated.
Seed Saving Instructions: Crumble Calendula seeds off flowerhead when fully mature and dry. Store seeds in a paper or mesh bag in a cool, dark and dry location.
