Morning Glory: Grandpa Ott's "Plus"

$3.95

Ipomoea purpurea

Days to Maturity: 75

Morning glories are our favorite flowers! This mix includes Grandpa Ott's classic purple flower with glowing white interior, with some surprising glorious pink blossoms. Morning glory vines grow 12+ feet tall! Enjoy continuous blossoms each morning. Flowers often last until the fall frost. Besides their unparalleled splendor in the morning sunshine, the best thing about this flower is the entertainment we get from watching one of our family cats eat 3-12 Morning Glory blooms each morning-- although we've never heard of another cat who does this...?!?

Planting Instructions: For optimal germination: Scarify (scrape) seeds gently with a nail file or sandpaper until inner light color just starts to show. Sow Morning Glory seeds outdoors in spring after last frost. Plant in east-facing full sun for full flowering beauty! Over-watering will encourage vegetative growth instead of flowering. Flowers can also be grown indoors even in winter, in a window up a string.

Seed Saving Instructions: Morning Glory seed pods will dry and turn brown. Collect seed when it easily crumbles into your hand. Store in a cool, dark and dry place.

Approx 25 Grandpa Ott's Morning Glory seeds per packet
