Cucumis melo var. inodorus
Short season heirloom perfect for Colorado, Southwest and other short season growers! Small, sweet, orange fruits are juicy and thirst-quenching in the heat of the summer's end. Easy to grow. Plant directly in ground after last frost, or start indoors sooner. Enjoys full sun.
Planting Instructions: Sow directly in the ground 1" deep, 1-2 feet apart after all danger of frost has passed & soil has warmed a bit. Or start indoors 3 weeks before last frost.
Seed Saving Instructions: Scoop seeds from tastiest, fully ripe melons (melons turn orange when fully ripe). Rinse and dry on a screen or cloth. Store seeds in a paper or mesh bag in a cool, dark and dry location.
