Eruca vesicaria
Days to Maturity: 40-50
Arugula is a trusty, vigorous mustard green with a kick! A delightful addition to salads or as a braising green in stir-fries or soups. Arugula sprouts up fast, is shade tolerant and has low water needs. This landrace arises from many varieties of arugulas grown together and selected over 10+ years in a multitude of conditions.
Planting Instructions: Sow Arugula seeds directly in the ground 1/4" deep in spring or late summer/early fall, every 2 weeks. Keep moist until germinated. Cold tolerant.
Seed Saving Instructions: Allow your most vigorous plants to bolt. Crumble seed pods when brown & fully dry. Store seeds in a paper or mesh bag to ensure they remain fully dry.
