Pea Landrace

$8.00

Pisum sativum

Days to Maturity: 70

This Southwest-adapted pea landrace has diverse genetics that increase resilience to grow in a variety of conditions. Eat as young snap peas, harvest pea shoots for salads, and collect dried peas for cooking. These seeds present a rich variety of colors, speckles and tones. A cool weather crop, peas should be planted directly in the ground in early spring or early fall. We received the original seed stock from a variety of sources including Joseph Lofthouse and MASA Seed Foundation.

Planting Instructions: As soon as ground can be worked in early spring, plant Pea seeds 1" deep, 3-4" apart. Provide a trellis or fence to climb.

Seed Saving Instructions: Gather peas (which are the seeds) when pods are dry and crunchy. Store in a cool, dark and dry place.

Approximately 30 landrace Pea Seeds per packet
