Solanum lycopersicum
Days to Maturity: 70 from transplant
Perfect dwarf tomatoes! Their compact size makes them ideal for container gardening or raised beds. Cyril's Choice tomatoes are short season, solid producers. Great for slicing or sauces. We love the SMOOTH texture of their fruits with tangy, citrusy flavor.
Planting Instructions: Start Cyril's Choice tomato seeds indoors under grow lights or in a greenhouse 6-10 weeks before last frost. Transplant 2+ weeks after last frost when soil has warmed a bit. Space plants at least 4 feet apart. Support growth with tomato cages, a trellis or wire. Water regularly but avoid overwatering (soil should be moist but not wet).
Seed Saving Instructions: When fully ripe, pick your tastiest fruits from the most vigorous plants. Cut open and squeeze seeds and juice into a jar. Secure a cloth over the jar so air can enter. Ferment the juice and seeds in the jar for 2-3 days. Then strain and rinse the seeds. Dry on a screen or cloth. Store seeds in a paper or mesh bag in a cool, dark and dry location.
