Lagenaria siceraria
Days to Maturity: 60-80 to edible fruits; 100 to 3-5 foot long hard-shelled gourds
It's super fun to see how these Cucuzzi edible gourds develop! They form big curly gourds when grown on the ground-- or hang them from a trellis or fence if you want them to grow straight. Fruits are eaten when young, green and tender. Fully mature gourds are 3-5 feet long.
Planting Instructions: Plant Cucuzzi Edible Gourd seeds directly in the ground 1-3" deep after soil has warmed post-frost, in well-draining mounds. Or start indoors 3-4 weeks before last spring frost.
Seed Saving Instructions: Allow fully mature gourds to grow as large as possible and harvest before fall frost. Allow to cure in a warm place for 1-3 weeks before cutting open. Dry seeds on a screen or cloth. Store in a cool, dark and dry place.
Limited Stock: Approx 15 Cucuzzi Edible Gourd seeds per packet
