Black Milo Sorghum stalks grow to 6 feet tall, with a beautiful spray of shiny black seedheads on top. An early grain variety (not a syrup variety). Drought tolerant. A good feed and silage crop for livestock. Try making tortillas and cooked sorghum grain. Original seed obtained from Sisikyou Seeds.

Grown by Groundwork in Paonia, CO.

Planting Instructions: In spring, plant Black Milo Sorghum seeds 1/2" deep, 6-12" apart after all danger of frost has passed. Keep mosit until germinated.

Seed Saving Instructions: Collect seed when fully mature and dry. Cut entire seed stalks to dry indoors if not fully mature by the time of fall frost. Store seeds in a paper or mesh bag in a cool, dark and dry location.
