Thymus vulgaris
One of the most fragrant & potent perennial herbs, thyme is vital in any garden! We dry thyme leaves for use in soups, quiche & savory dishes. We also use thyme in a tea or essential oil as a powerful cold, flu & infection remedy. This variety of thyme is a short, creeping type with pink flowers.
Planting Instructions: Start seeds indoors 8 weeks before last frost by barely covering and keeping soil moist (but not wet) for the 3-4 weeks it takes them to germinate. Do not lose hope-- thyme is a long-germinating herb! Transplant out into full sun.
Seed Saving Instructions: Allow plants to flower and go to seed. Collect seed when seed crumbles easily into the hand.
