Misato Rose Watermelon Radish is both sweet and mildly spicy! This LARGE radish is a winter storage variety, grown in late summer (August) for fall harvest. Roots are 4-6" in diameter. Its gorgeous interior has a diversity of white, light green & pink tones, some roots looking like a watermelon when sliced-- bright pink on the inside with a green/white outer skin. Try Misato Rose Watermelon Radish as a spicy kick to salads, special garnish to dishes of all kinds, pickled, or made into delicious kimchi.
Planting Instructions: In late summer, plant 3-6" apart at a depth of 3x the size of the seed. Thin to 5-6" apart. So easy to grow!
Seed Saving Instructions: Either plant some seeds in spring for fall harvest of seeds; or re-plant some overwintered roots in spring for a seed crop. Allow seed pods to become fully brown and dried before harvesting seeds.
